Marshall Hand and Drum Ensemble will perform the processional and recessional, for the 27th Annual Paul Robeson Cultural Center Rites of Passage Ceremony for the graduate and undergraduate students of Rutgers State University Of New Jersey-New Brunswick. Marshall Hand and Drum is a multi-level drum ensemble that performs the musical heritage of the African Diaspora.  This is the group’s fourth year participating in this prestigious Rutgers cultural event. 

 

The “Rites of Passage” Ceremony will take place May 15, 2019 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm at The Athletic Center , Livingston Campus 83 Rockafeller Road, Piscataway NJ 08854, which is a pre-commencement celebration to honor Black and Latinx-identified students, who through resolute persistence have successfully completed an Undergraduate or Graduate degree at Rutgers University–New Brunswick.
